Welcome to the site of the 2nd Annual MJBL East West All Star Game! What a great event this is slated to be: over 200 players from across the nation will assemble on June 18-20 in Dallas to determine bragging rights in this sizzling baseball event.
Last year's event was held at the University of Maryland (see pictures in both the blogs and photo gallery sections.) What a well-played game this was as evidenced by the 1-0 final score. The East won the game by combining for a no-hitter and Texas native Kevin Alexander blasted a double to left for what would prove to be the game-winning RBI. Unversity of Maryland Head Baseball Coach, Erik Bakich whom hosted the event, could only watch in amazement at all the talent on display.
This year's event will be hosted by the City of Lancaster, located near Dallas. Over 200 players from across the nation will be participating in this year's event and instead of a single game and a single age group, this year's event will feature multiple games and has been expanded to include the 12u, 13-15 and 19U age groups.
Players are being selected by coaches across the country. Final rosters will be posted at a later date.
Also, the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau, our partner organization, will hold a pro tryout for the event participants. The tryout will included outfield throws, infield throws and catcher throws; 60 yard dash and hitting evaluations.
