To join the Dallas Baseball Alliance, simply fill out the registration form on this page. The information is submitted to the webmaster and once received, you will receive confirmation within 48 hours or less.

Program Overview
On behalf of the Dallas Baseball Alliance, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the team
We are grateful you have chosen the Dallas Baseball Alliance for your son or daughter's youth baseball experience The mission of the Dallas Baseball Alliance is to "motivate student-athletes to achieve excellence in all that they do." Since 2006, the Dallas Baseball Alliance has provided a structured program for over 6,000 student-athletes both local and nationally.
The Dallas Baseball Alliance is entering its 4th year of existence and our original focus has remained steadfast: an instruction-based program with former professioal and college level instructors and coaches available to teach your child the game of baseball.
Our instructors include:

- Bryan Clark-former MLB Pitcher with the Toronto Blue Jays and DBA PItch Instructor
- Anthony Coleman-former assistant coach-Prairie View A&M
- Lee Gwaltney-former Chicago Cub Pitcher
- Kenny Gilbert Jr.-Current Professional and former pick of the Chicago White Sox
- Mike Smith-former Philadelphia Phillie
- Bill Carlson-former San Francisco Giant
- Brandon Brooks-current Prairie View A&M student-athlete
- Bernard Walker-former Cincinnati Red
- Easter Gabriel-Texas Sports Hall of Fame track star and DBA Speed Trainer
Players may be registered by the following methods:
- Online (this page); both registration and payment may be made online. Forms of payment include Paypal, Visa, Mastercard and Discover
- You may register in person at Thurgood Marshall recreation Center located at 5150 Mark Trail Way (DBA Elite program only)
- Instruction
- School based clinics throughout Dallas and Lancaster
- "Consistent Baseball" with John Darjean
- Private and Group Pitching clinics with Lee Gwaltney and Bryan Clark
- Speed training with Easter Gabriel
League Play
- DBA Regular League
- This program is for players whom are new to baseball and are still learning the game
- Most games will be local in the Dallas area
- The leagues we affiliate with for this league are RBI, MJBL and Best Southwest Baseball
- We are the baseball arm of the Dallas Police Athletic League and along with DPAL, we partner with the City of Dallas and Dallas ISD and the Texas Rangers on Major League Baseball's RBI program
- Both the Dallas ISD and certain Lancaster ISD schools are part of this program
DBA Elite

Currently three teams: 6u, 12u and High School
- Teams play in competitive tournaments
- Teams travel out of town
Team Texas Elite
- A joint venture between the Dallas Baseball Alliance and other statewide organizations including the Heroes, Houston RBI and CAAPS school of baseball to name a few
- A new program consisting of some of the top 12u players from across Texas
- A program of national caliber focusing on high profile national tournaments
- Will be expanded in the future to include multiple age groups
The Dallas Baseball Alliance is affiliated with several youth baseball organizations which allow for a full baseball experience for your child involving both local and national exposure as well as cultural experiences for your child. Those organizations include:
- M.J.B.L.-Metropolitan Jr. Baseball League
- U.S.S.S.A.-United States Specialty Sports Association-A national youth sports organization
- B.S.B.-Best Southwest League-A local recreational youth baseball league based in Cedar Hill for ages tee ball and up
- R.B.I.-Reviving Baseball in the Inner Cities-Major League Baseball's youth baseball program
- S.W.C.-Southwest Classic-A competitive youth baseball league for ages 8 and up. Includes the cities of DeSoto, Red Oak, Waxahachie, Ovilla, Duncanville, Dallas and Cedar Hill. A U.S.S.S.A. affiliate.
- A.A.U.-Amateur Athletic Union-A national youth sports organization
- Grand Prairie League-A local competitive baseball league based in Grand Prairie. A U.S.S.S.A. affiliate.
Clinics
The Dallas Baseball Alliance provides instructor based clinics including:
- Baseball in the Mall-a free baseball clinic at Southwest Center Mall
- Dallas ISD-school based clinics which are taught either during PE class or after-school
- Lancaster ISD-school based clinics which are taught either during PE class or after-school
- City of Dallas-roving clinics at various facilities throughout Dallas
- Coach Clinic-performed in conjunction with CAAPS School of Baseball by nationally renowned former Major League Baseball scout Martin Stringer.
- is a year around baseball program with a focus on teaching the fundamentals of baseball to baseball players of all ages.
Tournaments
The Dallas Baseball Alliance allows for a great experience for its players on both the local and national stage. Some of the national tournaments that we either participate in or have our sights on:
- The Classic/Black World Series-held in Richmond, Virginia for ages 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u and 18u
- AAU- a win your way in national tournament with regional championships leading up to the Grand Nationals in Florida.
- NYBC-National Youth Baseball Championship-draws all major youth baseball leagues each year for a 10u and 12u championship. Leagues include: AAU, USSSA, Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth, Super Series, Pony, AABC, NABF
- Little Majors-a major league themed tournament of highly competitive programs from across the nation. Held in Mansfield
General Costs
Costs vary depending on the chosen program, each program includes instructional components.
Regular League
- From $10.00-$135 per season depending on league
- Some programs include uniforms
- Insurance
- Uniform-$40.00 includes cap, jersey, pants, socks and belt
DBA Elite
- Tryouts
- Annual Cost: $900 for Best Southwest League
- Includes league fees, uniform, equipment, insurance and tournaments
- Includes monthly payment option
- Features out of town travel
- Coach fee of $25.00 per month included
Team Texas Elite
- Tryouts
- Annual Cost: $550 per year
- Includes travel to multiple national tournaments including Puerto Rico
- Includes hotel
- Includes uniform
- 10 or more pitchers on roster
- An on staff pitching expert to tutor pitchers
- A minimum 8-week mandatory weekly pitching regimen
- Potential visibility on Major League Baseball network
- Play at prestigious facilities such as ESPN Complex in Orlando
- Cultural exchange and meeting players from all across the nation

John Darjean's Consistent Baseball (includes hitting and fundamentals)
- $25 per week
Group Instruction on Pitching and Speed Training
$10.00 per player (minimum of 10 players in group)
Expectations
Of course, within Dallas Baseball Alliance's programs there are expectations of all involved.
Expectations of Players
- Must be committed to program
- Take no plays off, maintain high level of play consistently in practice and in games
- Participate in pitching instruction (age appropriate)
- Respect coaching staff
- Volunteer/Mentor others
- Ensure players arrive to practices and games as requested
- Respect coaching staff
- Ensure financial responsibilities are completed in timely manner
- Establish open line of communication with coaching staff

- Provide for the safety of child

Individual Equipment
Parents should provide bat and glove for player as well as other items such as batting globes. If available, the Dallas Baseball Alliance may provide team bats and team gloves that may be loaned out with a refundable deposit of $25.

Safety is very important to the Dallas Baseball Alliance.

Rainouts
When weather is inclement, parents should call the rain out hotline at 214 402-4898 for updates. On day of game, a decision will be made 2 hours prior to game time. As as example, if game is set for 8 a.m., parents may contact rain out hotline as early as 6 a.m. to find out if game will be played, cancelled or delayed.
How teams are selected
1. Maximum roster size per team is 13 players unless otherwise noted.
2. All teams in need of players are matched up with new registrants until the 13 player maximum is reached.
3. New registrants whom desire to play on certain teams and/or play with a sibling will be handled on a case by case basis with the goal to satisfy the customer without compromising the integrity of the league selection process.

Schedules will be posted prior to season beginning on Dallas Baseball Alliance website.
Special Notice Regarding Bats for 2012
Most non-wood bats manufactured over the past few years have been permanently imprinted with the BPF. To comply with the new regulation, bats used USSSA play must display a BPF of 1.15 or less.
The Dallas Baseball Alliance's mission is to motivate student-athletes to achieve excellence in all that they do.
