Metroplex Baseball Standouts in College

SWAC CHAMPIONSHIP RING

SWAC CHAMPIONSHIP RING

Its great to see Metroplex players doing well on the college level, some even former DBA players.

Take for instance, former Woodrow Wilson leading hitter and Grambling Freshman infielder Ace Felder, former DeSoto outfielder/pitcher, Junior Jordan Foster of Prairie View (SWAC Player of the Week YEAH!) and former Mesquite HS and freshman starting 3B Trey LeBlanc of league leading Texas Southern. Also, you have sophomore Jordan Sears of Alcorn State, Junior Alejandro Lopez of Mississippi Valley State, UAPB Junior Chris Phelps of Little Elm, Dallas sophomore Andre Moore of Texas Southern, Junior Dion Holbrook of Mountain View College and Grambling University and Southern freshman Sean Moore of Rowlett High School.

These student-athletes making the Metroplex proud through their work in the classroom and on the diamond diamond as well.  Dallas/Ft. Worth has a lot to be proud of and can add the above-mentioned players to the list. Who knows, we may be able to add Ace, Jordan and Trey or others to the list of Metroplex SWAC Champions like Joe Gill, Brandon Brooks and David James (all happen to be DeSoto Alums).

Stay tuned, the SWAC Baseball Championship is set for May 13-17 in New Orleans (for the first time).
